Hands-on evaluation using real tissue and blood—portable, repeatable, and outside the OR.
Two components, one seamless system. Our simulators and tissue models work together
to deliver a realistic, repeatable surgical experience — wherever you need it.
Device adoption depends on surgeon confidence and decision-maker clarity—both of which are difficult to achieve with slides, videos, or limited OR exposure.
Instant, portable perfused tissue labs that support demonstration, validation, and training.
Create immediate engagement by allowing surgeons to work directly with devices on real tissue.
Replicate surgical conditions consistently to compare devices or configurations.
Demonstrate performance under elevated or adverse conditions without waiting for the perfect patient or case.
Support faster approvals by demonstrating value in a clean, controlled, and repeatable environment.
Two components, one seamless system. Our simulators and tissue models work together
to deliver a realistic, repeatable surgical experience — wherever you need it.
Portable, enclosed simulators that set up in under five minutes — anywhere. Digitally controlled pumps deliver consistent, realistic perfusion every time.
Our models replicate true surgical conditions, giving surgeons, sales teams, and researchers a hands-on experience that closely mirrors the real thing.
The most realistic bleeding control simulation I’ve encountered outside of an actual OR.
Finally, a training tool that actually looks and feels like real tissue. It changes how you practice.
We’ve tried a lot of simulators. Nothing comes close to the tissue realism of this platform.

He was co-director and faculty member of the Thoracic Surgery Resident Boot Camp in which cardiothoracic surgery residents come to Chapel Hill for several days of intense simulator-based training in surgery techniques. In 2020, Dr. Feins retired as a Professor of Surgery at UNC School of Medicine and Medical Director of Peri-Operative Care at UNC Hospital. He was the Principal Investigator on a $1.05 million, multi-institution grant from the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality which was the largest study of simulation-based surgical training to date and which clearly demonstrated the ability of simulation-based training to improve skills and safety in cardiac surgery. Dr. Feins has a B.S. in Chemistry from Dartmouth College, his M.D. from University of Vermont College of Medicine and completed his residency at the University of Rochester.
